Westmount business on Ste-Catherine St. hit by gunfire

Montreal police were alerted to the incident by a 911 call received at 3:20 a.m. when an alarm was triggered.

Montreal police have launched an investigation after a business on Ste-Catherine St. W. near Gladstone Ave. in Westmount was targeted by gunfire early Tuesday.

Police were alerted to the incident by a 911 call received at 3:20 a.m. when an alarm was triggered. Officers found the storefront of the business had been damaged by several gunshots.

A perimeter has been set up at the site. No injuries or arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
