White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson underwent surgery Wednesday morning in Chicago to repair torn ligaments in his left hand.
The team said surgery was successful to correct a tear in the sagittal zone of the middle finger of his hand. He is expected to return to the active roster in about six weeks.
