Who goes in and who goes out: Look at the new cabinet of Premier of Ontario, Dougford

Premier of OntarioDougfordannounced his new cabinet on Friday, with some while retaining the roles many ministers had in the pre-government era. Changes have been made and some new faces have been added.

New additions:

  • The Prime Minister's nephew and former Toronto city council member, Michael Ford, will be Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism.
  • Technology and bioscience entrepreneur Michael Kirzner will be the solicitor.
  • Former Canadian Football League player Neil Lumsden will be Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports.
  • Former Mayor of Bracebridge, Ontario, Graydon Smith becomes Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry.
  • Former Mayor of Timmins, Ontario, George Pilly becomes Minister of Mines.
  • Michael Pulsa, first elected in the York district constituency in 2018, was promoted to the Cabinet to become Deputy Minister of Housing.
  • Charmaine Williams, a former city council member and therapist in Brampton, Ontario, will be Deputy Minister of Social and Economic Opportunities for Women.
