Hydro-Québec reports 70,000 homes were without power early Saturday evening.
Hold onto your hats and anything else that can be carried away by high winds.
In a repeat of the blustery conditions this past Wednesday, Environment Canada is warning “southwesterly winds will reach up to 90 kilometres per hour” in the Greater Montreal region Saturday afternoon and evening.

It says “damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches.”
A special weather statement has been issued for other parts of the province such as the lower Laurentians, with possible wind gusts up to 80 kilometres per hour.
At 7:15 p.m., Hydro-Québec was reporting 70,000 homes without power, with the Montérégie at the top of the list with nearly 25,000 outages.
There were about 11,000 outages in the Laurentians.
In Montreal, nearly 12,000 customers were in the dark.
