A wolf that escaped from the Greater Vancouver Zoo

LANGLEY, BC — British Columbia Department of the Environment , says wolves escaped enclosure at Greater Vancouver Zoo and one is still missing.

The zoo has requested help from the Department of Conservation to retrieve an escaped wolf from the zoo in Langley Township, about 55 kilometers east of Vancouver, according to the ministry.

One wolf is still missing and the zoo is working to recapture it.

The zoo, which announced its closure Tuesday morning through its Instagram and Facebook accounts, is home to nine adult wolves and her six cubs.

The Ministry of the Environment has not disclosed how many wolves have escaped.

Those who have seen the missing wolf are asked to keep their distance and call 1-877-952-7277.
