The Washington Commanders signed a three-year contract extension with wide receiver Terry McLaurin on Tuesday.

The team did not announce financial terms and submitted multiple reports fixed at up to $ 70 million.

McLaughlin, 26, is entering the final season of a four-year rookie contract. He will earn a base salary of $ 2.79 million in 2022.

In the third round pick from Ohio State University in 2019, McLaughlin scored 77 passes of 1,053 yards in five TDs last season. He had 87 receptions and 4 touchdowns at 1,118 yards in 2020. Production is even more impressive considering the revolving doors of Washington's quarterback.

This season he will work with quarterback Carson Wentz, which he acquired in a deal with Indianapolis Colts.

With Commander, McLaughlin has appeared in 46 career regular season games, all started, with 3,090 yards and 16 touchdowns and 222 catches.

He is one of the three NFC wide receivers that joined Davante Adams and Justin Jefferson, with at least 75 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last two seasons.
