Young N.S. A man facing several sex-related charges involving young people

A Nova Scotia man has been charged with sexual assault following last week's incident, according to police.

In a release, the Kings District RCMP issued a statement to police Friday about alleged inappropriate contact between her 18-year-old man and a male youth near Greenwood. said it had received the complaint.

"The man was already in custody at the time of the complaint because he was found to have violated the terms of his release order on a separate matter," said a release issued Monday.

In connection with last week's alleged incident, Austin Charles Winnott, 18, of Greenwood, was charged with several sex crimes, including: Faced with:

  • Attraction to sexual contact;
  • Sexual interference.
  • Sexual assault;
  • Committing an obscene act;
  • Failure to comply with terms of release order (Two counts.)

He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday and be charged.
