Air Guitar World Championships: Invisible Strings, Visible Passion in Finland

The city of Oulu, Finland, is currently hosting the 27th Air Guitar World Championships, an event that combines musical passion with imaginative performance. Nanami "Seven Seas" Nagura, the defending champion from Japan, is aiming for her fourth title. She faces stiff competition from nine dark horse contestants and national champions representing the United States, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Finland, and France.

The judging criteria for the Air Guitar World Championships are both specific and subjective. Contestants perform two 60-second routines, evaluated on a scale of 4.0 to 6.0. Judges consider factors such as originality, stage presence, technical merit, and "airness" - a quality unique to this competition.
