Gaza Conflict Intensifies: Israeli Forces Advance, Palestinians Face New Challenges

The conflict in Gaza has escalated, with Israeli forces conducting operations across the densely populated territory. One displaced resident, Shaban, expressed his frustration: "We were pushed by the occupation to the sea, where we believed it was safe. Last week the sea flooded and washed away some tents, and that could happen again. Where would we go?"

This latest chapter in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack on Israel, resulting in 1,200 deaths and the taking of about 250 hostages. Israel's subsequent military campaign in Gaza has led to over 41,000 Palestinian fatalities, according to local health authorities.
