JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee and U.S. Senator from Ohio since 2022, has been actively defending Trump's policies and criticizing the Democratic ticket. In recent appearances, Vance supported Trump's suggestion for increased presidential control over U.S. monetary policy, a domain traditionally overseen by the Federal Reserve since its establishment in 1913.
