Harris and Trump step up media presence as election nears

In the last stretch of the presidential race Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have stepped-up their media presence participating in a flurry of interviews. This shift in strategy marks a departure from their previously controlled campaign approaches.

Harris has been making rounds on various platforms‚ from radio shows to late-night TV. She recently sat down with Charlamagne tha God and is set to appear on Fox News (a network typically favoring Republicans). Trump on the other hand‚ took part in an economic forum in Chicago and attended town halls on Fox News and Univision.

This sudden increase in public appearances seems to be an attempt by both candidates to reach a wider audience. Harrisʼ Fox News interview appears to be a move to demonstrate her willingness to face tough questions‚ especially after Trump cancelled his appearance on “60 Minutes“

During his interviews Trump was forced to address the abortion issue – a topic thats been politically challenging for him. He acknowledged that some state laws are “too tough“ and hinted at potential changes: “This is going to be redone‚ because already theres a movement in those states ... to redo it“. However‚ its unclear what specific actions he was referring to.

In her interview with Charlamagne Harris agreed with the hosts characterization of Trump as a “fascist“. This aligns with the Democrats strategy of portraying the election as a choice between democracy and authoritarianism. Trump‚ for his part‚ continued to use strong language against his opponents‚ referring to them as “the enemy within“

Both campaigns are also focusing on winning over Black male voters. Harris discussed criminal justice reforms and reparations‚ while Trump expressed confidence in his support among Black and Hispanic voters. With the race being so close‚ every vote counts and both candidates are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for victory
