U.S. warns Israel over Gaza aid amid Hamas accusations
U.S. urges Israel to ensure aid reaches Gaza‚ warning of potential consequences. Israel claims Hamas misuses aid while Hamas denies allegations. Tensions rise over humanitarian concerns in the region.
The United States is keeping a close eye on Israels actions in northern Gaza to make sure there isnt a “policy of starvation“ in place. Linda Thomas-Greenfield the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N told the Security Council that such a policy would be awful and not okay and could lead to problems with international and U.S laws
Thomas-Greenfield said “The Government of Israel has told us this isnt their policy that food and other important stuff wont be cut off and we will watch to see that Israels actions match what they say“
The U.S. has told Israel it needs to make things better for people in Gaza in about a month or it might not get as much military help from America. This info came from U.S. officials a couple days ago
Danny Danon Israels U.N. Ambassador said before the Security Council meeting that Israel “is still trying to work with other countries to make sure aid gets to people who need it“ in Gaza. He also said “The problem in Gaza isnt that there isnt enough aid. The problem is Hamas which takes the aid – stealing keeping and selling it to help their terror stuff while regular people suffer“
Hamas says Israel is lying about them stealing aid and that Israel is the reason theres not enough stuff for people. They keep saying this isnt true
The situation in Gaza is getting worse – people dont have enough food water or medicine. The U.S. is trying to make sure Israel doesnt make things even harder for people there while also dealing with Hamas. Its a tricky situation with no easy fix

This whole mess started about a year ago and its still going on. The U.S. is trying to help but also wants to make sure Israel doesnt do anything too bad. At the same time Israel says its Hamas fault things are so bad. Its hard to know whats really going on but one things for sure – the people in Gaza are the ones suffering the most
