Harris slams Trump's abortion stance at Atlanta event

VP Kamala Harris took aim at former president Donald Trump over abortion access at an Atlanta rally. She mentioned Amber Thurman a Georgia woman who passed away roughly two years ago due to inadequate medical care linked to abortion limits

Harris pointed out that Thurmans family was present in the audience. She stressed Trumps role in appointing Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v Wade. This comes after Georgiaʼs Supreme Court recently brought back a six-week abortion ban

The VP played a clip where Trump responded to Thurmans familyʼs participation in a campaign call. “Oh thats nice“ Trump said “Well get better ratings I promise.“ Harris criticized his response saying “He belittles their sorrow‚ making it about himself and his television ratings. Its cruel“

Harris also questioned Trumps fitness for office mentioning his canceled appearances and tendency to ramble. She stated “heʼs becoming increasingly unstable and unhinged‚ and it requires a response“

In Detroit‚ Harris campaigned with recording artist Lizzo who defended the city against Trumps recent comments. Later in Atlanta R&B singer Usher rallied for Harris‚ encouraging attendees to support the campaign

The Republican National Committee responded to Harrisʼs campaign efforts. Michael Whatley RNC Chairman said Harris “needs Lizzo on the campaign trail to hide the fact that Michiganders were feeling good under President Trump“
