In a recent chat with the Wall Street Journal Donald Trump shared his thoughts on global matters. The ex-president who left office roughly 3 years ago‚ talked about his plans for China and remembered his chats with other world leaders.

Trump said heʼd slap big taxes on China if they tried to take Taiwan. “If you go into Taiwan‚ Im sorry to do this Im going to tax you‚ at 150% to 200%“ he stated. He thinks Xi Jinping wont do anything bad cause he respects him. Trump added‚ “I had a very strong relationship with him‚ I wouldnt have to (use military force) because he respects me and he knows Im f— crazy“

The former leader also talked about his trade ideas. He wants to put taxes on stuff coming into the US – maybe 10% to 20% on most things‚ and even more on Chinese goods. This he thinks‚ will help make more stuff in America. During his time as president Trump and China had a big fight over trade‚ which shook up markets all over.

When asked about the Russia-Ukraine problem Trump said it wouldnt have happened if he was still in charge. He remembered telling Putin:

Vladimir‚ we have a great relationship ... Vladimir if you go after Ukraine‚ I am going to hit you so hard‚ youre not even going to believe it. Im going to hit you right in the middle of fricking Moscow
