Barcelona vs Real Madrid: Why El Clasico clash will be ‘strange’ – Koeman

Barcelona boss, Ronald Koeman, has said that his side’s La Liga El Clasico clash against Real Madrid on Saturday will be ‘strange’ because it will be played in an empty stadium without fans.

Koeman also revealed that he expects more pressure when Barcelona face Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

Koeman’s men head to the game after defeating Ferencvaros 5-1 in the Champions League earlier this week, while Zinedine Zidane’s side lost 3-2 against Shakhtar Donetsk.

“The game will be strange, as when you play at home in these kinds of games the fans are almost an extra man,” Koeman told his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“We hope that soon we can have our supporters back at the stadium.”

He added: “It’s a different game to the rest. You always feel more pressure, but I’ve been in football for many years.

“I’m used to dealing with this pressure.”
