The Nigerian forward has made eight appearances in all competitions this campaign, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Meanwhile, the KwaZulu-Natal side has welcomed back Abbubaker Mobara and Rally Bwalya from injuries.

“We still have Kwem suspended, we still have Ntuli out with a long-term injury, Maduna is still 50/50 chance that he will play,” Truter said at AmaZulu Media Day.

“But at the same time we welcomed back Mobara, we welcomed back Rally Bwalya.”

In other news, AmaZulu chairperson Sandile Zungu has responded to reports suggesting that the club’s coach Brandon Truter will be on his way out the club if he fails to triumph against Kaizer Chiefs in the two-legged MTN8 semi-final.

These speculations emerged following Usuthu’s two defeats in a row in the DStv Premiership before the FIFA international break.

AmaZulu have won four of nine matches they have played across all competitions this season, losing three and drawing two.

Zungu, who’s well-known for his high ambitions in the game, has dismissed the rumours, saying that management has a good working relationship with the “advisable” Truter.

‘IT’S NONSENSE’ – ZUNGU ON RUMOURED ‘UNDER PRESSURE’ TRUTER

“There is nothing like that. Actually, it’s nonsense and there’s no truth in it,” Zungu said as per Daily Sun.

“We work very well with Truter and I like the fact that he is advisable. We’re going forward now not backward, and we truly believe in our coach.

“We just don’t fire a coach because of one or two bad results. We give him a chance.

“There are no divisions in our team, and I’m happy with the players we have. If you can recall we didn’t even worry about the closing of the [transfer] window on Thursday, because I believe our team is very strong.

“We do get worried when players get injured, but that happens to all teams and we need to get our way of playing right, but I think we are on the right track. We played very well against [Mamelodi] Sundowns, and we could have won the game.”
