FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over western, and central interior of the Northern Cape, western parts of both Free State and the North West Province as well as Beaufort West and Laingsburg Municipalities in the Western Cape.

ADVISORIES:

.Heatwave conditions resulting in persistently high temperatures, are expected in places over Gauteng, and the eastern parts of the North West until Friday.

Gauteng

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and hot.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga

Temperature: Partly cloudy with morning fog patches in the east, otherwise fine and warm.

Limpopo

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine and hot but very hot in the extreme south-west.

North West

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot.

Free State

Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot.

Northern Cape

Temperature: Extremely hot in the northern part, otherwise fine, windy and hot to very hot.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, strong at times in the afternoon.

Western Cape

Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool along the coastal areas in the morning, otherwise mostly fine and warm to hot with high level cloud.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly along the west and south-west coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly to westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Eastern Cape

The Western half: Fine and hot to very hot, but warm in places along coast.

The Western half – The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The Eastern half: Cloudy with fog patches in south of escarpment at first, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in places.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh north-easterly, becoming south-westerly in the evening.

KwaZulu-Natal

Temperature: Partly cloudy with morning fog over the interior, becoming fine and warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh in the afternoon.
