Refresher: Who are the Top 10 Miss SA contestants? [photos]

The Miss South Africa pageant is set to take place on Saturday 13 August at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria and one of Mzansi’s top publications, The South African, has scored an invite to the lavish affair!

As we gear up for the red carpet and the spectacular finalé, here’s a quick “refresher course” on the Top 10 beauties who are vying for the Miss SA crown. With only one day to go, everyone is on the edge of their seats!

Here are the 10 contestants who will be competing for the Miss SA crown on 13 August.

Anarzade is from Crown Hardens in Johannesburg and works as a social media manager at a digital marketing agency. The University of Johannesburg graduate also runs a small online sushi business which she launched during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Ayanda is from Maritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal and is currently pursuing a degree in dietetics and human nutrition. The 22-year-old says she only ever watches three television channels and sometimes pretends she has her own cooking show when she’s whipping something up in the kitchen.

Itumeleng hails from Central Western Jabavu in Soweto, Gauteng and is a Bachelor of Law student with a Bachelor of Arts (law major) degree from the University of Witwatersrand. The 22-year-old is also an avid reader, enjoys cooking and loves almost all genres of music.

Keaoleboga Nkashe is from Itsoseng in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District in the North West but currently lives in Hong Kong where she is a postgraduate student, freelance model and kindergarten teacher. She hopes to use her love for education and the arts to better the lives of local women and children.

Lebogang is from Soshanguve in Pretoria, Gauteng and works for a multinational FMCG company as a procurement specialist. The 26-year-old has a BSc Food Science degree from Stellenbosch University and works on an initiative called TalkEat which encourages conversations around food.

Luvé is from Brackenfell in Cape Town, Western Cape and holds a Bachelor of Health Science and Social Services degree and an honours degree in psychology from the University of South Africa and is a full-time model and small business co-owner.

Luyanda is an international model and entrepreneur from Maritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The 20-year-old is also a final year Bachelor of Live Performance student at AFDA.

Ndavi is from Tzaneen, Limpopo and holds a BCom Investment Management degree from the University of Pretoria and is currently working for an asset management firm in Cape Town.

Born and raised in Mamelodi, Pretoria, Pearl is a candidate attorney and has BCom Law, BCom Honours and LLB degrees. She hopes to make an impact on the country’s judiciary and has a passion for youth development and women in law.

Tamsyn is an entrepreneur from Somerset West, Western Cape who works with some of Mzansi’s leading start-ups and small businesses. The University of Stellenbosch graduate describes herself as compassionate, brave and inquisitive.
