If you want some extra energy, a pasta salad with a source of protein is the way to go. Our tuna casserole is an iconic recipe which is perfect served hot or cold and great for that lunchtime snack or as a dinner side. It’s a great meal that you can make for the whole family too as you spend the evening watching movies.

Tuna casserole tips

If you don’t want noodles, shell pasta is great for this recipe as it holds pieces of the filling in the shell for the perfect bite. You can also add some colour and crunch with small chopped pieces of green or red peppers too. Go old-school and add your hard-boiled eggs to the dish as well. If you are making a upmarket version, make a white bechamel sauce to pour over the top before adding the cheese and putting it under the grill to brown.
