In south Chinaʼs Changde city a white-colored SUV crashed into people outside primary school causing several injuries (none life-threatening) this tuesday morning. Police detained a 39-year old male suspect but didnt share details about incident cause
The event happened when students were entering school: young kids ran inside shouting for help. Video footage shows at-least five people including a student with backpack lying on narrow street near schools entrance. Local residents caught the suspect and police officers hand-cuffed him on-spot
This incident follows two other public attacks that happened about ten days ago: in Zhuhai city where a car-crash killed 35 people and injured 43 others; and in Wuxi where a former student attacked people at vocational college killing eight
The hand of strictness can never be loosened
Chinese authorities increased security measures in main cities:
* Added extra police patrols
* Put-up new street barriers
* Started checking high-risk areas more often
Social media users discuss these events but many posts get removed quick. One Weibo user wrote: “Why are such incidents happening more-and-more frequently lately and always involving students? What has happened to society now“
