Masked thieves pull off daring vehicle heist at Windsor Castle grounds

Late last fall‚ a bold break-in shook the security of Britainʼs Windsor Castle estate when two masked-up individuals stole farm vehicles from the royal grounds (the incident took place while Prince William and his family were staying at their Adelaide Cottage home)

The burglars‚ whoʼve not been caught yet took a rather direct approach: using a stolen-truck to smash thru a security-gate before climbing over a six-foot barrier. Their night-time raid targeted a barn where they grabbed a black Izuzu pick-up and a red quad-bike heading towards Old Windsor

Thames Valley Police got word of the incident just before midnight; their investigation is still open. While King Charles and Queen Camilla werent at the estate during the theft the break-in raises questions about royal property protection – especially considering a previous security breach about 3 yrs ago when someone with a crossbow was found in the castle grounds

The police statement notes: “We responded to reports of a burglary on Crown Estate land; suspects entered farm buildings and took vehicles before fleeing towards Datchet area.“ A Buckingham Palace spokesperson chose not to give any comments on this matter
