Israeli leader talks about plans for wider regional peace after current conflicts end. Speaking at parliament today Netanyahu mentioned possible deals with more Arab nations including Saudi-Arabia

At todays parliament meeting Benjamin Netanyahu shared his post-war vision for middle-eastern peace deals. The Israeli prime-minister spoke about plans to make both Gaza and northern borders stable - a key step towards wider regional agreements

The speech highlighted success of previous peace-making efforts: back in 2020 Israel made historic break-through agreements with several arab countries (known as Abraham Accords)

  • United Arab Emirates
  • Bahrain
  • Morocco
  • Sudan

The day after Hamas no longer controls Gaza and Hezbollah no longer sits on our northern border‚ we are working these days on plans to stabilize those two fronts

Netanyahu stated during his parliament speech

Netanyahu mentioned that other middle-eastern countries (including Saudi-Arabia) are watching Israels actions against what he called “Iranian axis of evil“. He believes these nations share similar goals: they want middle-east to be secure and rich. The Israeli leader thinks this common ground could help expand peace deals in future - something his government has been trying to do with US support since the original accords were signed about 4 years ago

The Saudi position remains unchanged though - they dont want to recognize Israel until Palestinian state exists. Still Netanyahu thinks more countries might join peace agreements once current conflicts end
