Polish government signed a deal worth over $320 million for military support vehicles made in-country. This purchase fits into Polands wider strategy to boost its defense capabilities while supporting local manufacturers

Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz announced a big-money defense deal: Polish companies will make support vehicles for WR-40 Langusta rocket systems (worth about 1‚3 billion zloty or $323‚19 million)

The defense minister explained how this fits into Polands strategy: “We will fulfill as many orders as possible because safety and economy are absolutely key issues“ – his words show the focus on local production and military readiness

Poland keeps pushing its defense spending up — leading NATO with 4‚1% GDP allocation this year; planning to reach 4‚7% next year which makes it the alliances top spender. The countrys approach to military upgrades comes as a direct answer to whats happening in Ukraine

The deal includes delivery of these support-vehicles by 2028 and upgrades to existing WR-40 Langusta systems. The Armaments Agency chief Artur Kuptel points to more deals coming soon: theyʼve signed about 100 contracts this year (with dozens more in the works)

Local defense companies will get half of all military spending — its a clear sign that Poland wants to build up its own defense industry. The government thinks this will help both the economy and security; making sure they dont depend too much on foreign suppliers
