Strange things happen in normal-looking homes: a person walks through the first-floor hallway and disappears into thin air a porch-swing moves by itself on a still day and non-smokers homes fill with tobacco scent
When faced with such mind-bending events many home-dwellers dont jump to supernatural conclusions - theyʼre stuck somewhere between doubt and belief trying to make sense of their other-worldly experiences. Some describe their encounters as hard-to-explain moments that dont fit into any normal category (while others just feel an odd presence sharing their living space)
A nation-wide poll from couple years ago shows these experiences arent rare at all: about one-fourth of US residents say theyve lived in what they believe was a haunted house; with another 10% being unsure about their homes supernatural status. This means millions of Americans might be sharing their homes with non-living tenants - whether they want to believe it or not
