The attack marked a huge shift in regional power-balance: foreign planes flew over Tehran for first time since 80s war with Iraq. This operation exposed how weak Irans allies have become - Hamas and Hezbollah cant help much now after taking big hits themselves
Multiple key-sites got damaged including facilities in Parchin and Khojir; both used for missile production. The Shahrud complex (located 200 miles east of Tehran) also took hits: this site makes solid fuel for rockets and could be used for long-range missiles

But experts say fixing everything will take much longer than Iran admits. Their missile-making got seriously limited - both production equipment and air-defense systems need major repairs. Yoav Gallant‚ Israeli Defense Minister points out that this really changes things: “Their supplies are now set; this affects their calculus“
The strikes hit Iran when its already having trouble: their recent attacks on Israel (both in april and october) mostly failed because of good air defense. Now Tehran faces hard choices - try diplomacy or maybe focus on nuclear program instead
