A few days ago Lloyd Austin the U.S. Defense Secretary‚ and Yoav Gallant the Israeli Defense Minister‚ had a chat. They talked about what Israel is doing in Lebanon and whats going on with helping people in Gaza.
This talk happened after Washington sent a letter to Israel earlier this week. The letter said Israel should do more to help people in Gaza who are having a hard time. Austin told Gallant that Israel should keep trying to make things better for people in Gaza.
The Pentagon said in a statement: “The Secretary encouraged the Government of Israel to continue taking steps to address the dire humanitarian situation; noting the recent action by Israel to increase the amount of humanitarian assistance entering Gaza“
Austin was happy that Israel is letting more help get into Gaza. This is good news for the people there who need food water and other things. Israel decided to do this not long ago‚ and its making a difference
The talk between Austin and Gallant shows that the U.S. and Israel are working together to deal with whats happening in the area. They want to make sure that while Israel is doing what it needs to do‚ people who need help can get it
