Arrest after teen sexually assaulted twice in Toronto park

A man has been arrested after a 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted twice in a downtown park.

Toronto Police allege the man approached the teen in McGill Parkette, near Yonge and Gerrard Sts., on Wednesday and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot.

Police say the girl was in the park at 5:30 a.m. the next day when the man returned, sexually assaulted her and ran away again.

An image released by Toronto Police of a suspect in an alleged sexual assault in McGill Parkette on Aug. 21 and 22.

Officials released a security camera image of a suspect on Friday, and on Saturday named Andrew Martin Morris, 25, of Toronto, as the man sought.

Police on Sunday said Morris had been arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault and failing to comply with police.
