1 p.m. – Health officials provide update on COVID-19 cases

B.C.’s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry holds a news conference to discuss the latest confirmed cases, outbreaks, and deaths.

1 p.m. – No PNE but you can still get the mini donuts

The Pacific National Exhibition may have been cancelled for this year, but you can still taste the flavour of the fair. At Playland, just off West Hastings Street in Vancouver, drivers can pick up a bag of mini donuts from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

8 a.m. – The latest numbers in Canada as of Saturday morning

There are 82,892 confirmed and presumptive cases in Canada, including including 6,277 deaths. The most are in Quebec at 46,141 confirmed cases, including 3,865 deaths, followed by Ontario with 25,040 confirmed cases, including including 2,048 deaths. Nunavut still has no confirmed cases or deaths, Yukon has 11 cases, and P.E.I. has 27.
