A child in a stroller and two females were rushed to hospital after being struck in a hit-and-run in the city’s east end Sunday morning.
“We got a call at 10:48 a.m. and have transported a child with life-threatening injuries and two females with serious injuries to hospital,” EMS deputy commander Evert Steenge said. He wouldn’t disclose the type of injuries.
The trio were hit at Pharmacy Ave. and Ellesmere Rd.
“The vehicle fled the scene and was last seen going south on Pharmacy. The vehicle is described as a grey-coloured Dodge Journey and the driver is described as a white male,” Const. Alex Li said.
Police are on scene and have closed the area for the investigation.
