Firearms, drugs, cash seized as Toronto cops arrest man

A Toronto Police investigation has netted an arrest and a substantial stash of drugs, cash and firearms

Cops say they began an investigation last month into a man who was allegedly trafficking narcotics.

On Tuesday, officers executed search warrants at two separate addresses as well as two vehicles in the areas of York Mills Rd. and Silverdale Cr. and Beecroft Rd. and Sheppard Ave.

Police say they seized two semi-automatic handguns, one fully automatic sub-machine gun, approximately $40,000 in Canadian currency, and a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, MDMA, and cocaine, with an approximate value of more than $128,000.

Salim Slammy, 27, of Toronto, is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, three counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of careless storage of a firearm, and two counts of possession of a prohibited device.
