The 11-year-old runaway whose disappearance Monday sparked a regional police search, was found safe Wednesday night.
Const. Carole Arbelot of the Trois-Rivières police said the girl was found at 8 p.m. in the Shawinigan neighbourhood of Grand-Mère.
The girl was with other children when police found her.
Officers were able to locate her after a citizen recognized the child from photos in media reports on her disappearance.
Her disappearance was reported to Trois-Rivières police at the same time as that of 14-year-old girl, who was located on Tuesday in Shawinigan. It seemed the two had decided to run away at the same time.
