Update: Woman dies after collision with vehicle on Ste-Catherine St.

A 67-year-old woman found unconscious on Ste-Catherine St. between Wood and Atwater avenues in Westmount early Sunday morning has died.

A passer-by spotted the woman at about 2 a.m. and called 911. The woman was transported to hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, said police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils.

An investigation so far has shown that the woman was involved in a collision with a vehicle. Police collision unit investigators are taking steps to determine the circumstances of the event, Chèvrefils said Sunday afternoon.
