Weather: A string of above zero days is in forecast

It’ll feel positively balmy this week with a string of above-zero days and single-digit lows after the January-in-November we’ve been shivering through.

Even the six-day streak of accumulated snow on the ground is over, dipping below 10 cm by Monday.

Tuesday is mainly cloudy with a high of 1 C and low of -5 C that will feel like -7 in the Wednesday morning, Environment Canada predicts.

Wednesday’s forecast is for more mixed skies, winds of up to 15 km/h and a high of 2 C. Skies are clear overnight with a low of -6 C.

Thursday is cloudy with a high of -2 C that stays steady overnight. Periods of rain or snow are in the forecast.

Friday’s forecast features cloudy skies, a 60 per cent chance of rain and a high of 4 C.

Overnight, expect cloudy periods and a low of -8 C.

Skies are at least mixed Saturday with a high of -1 C and low of -4 C.

A mix of sun and cloudy high of 1 C and low of -2 C are in the forecast for Sunday.
