Weather: It's the polar opposite of Friday's summery day, with wind chill on its way

Here’s hoping that everyone enjoyed Friday’s last (?) gasp of summer, because the times are a-changing.

Environment Canada is predicting a few showers ending Saturday morning then mainly cloudy skies. Winds will be from the northwest at 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light this afternoon.

The high temperature will hover around 7 C today, lower than the average high of 10.6 C for this date.

The weather services is predicting clearing skies this evening, with a low of -3 C overnight, and a  wind chill -7 overnight.

Sunday should see increasing cloudiness in the morning, with northeast winds up 15 km/h and a high of 6 C. The wind chill will be -7 in the morning.

Sunday night will have cloudy periods with 60 per cent chance of flurries. Low minus 2. (We are in denial about this part.)

The rest of the week is looking cloudy and showery with daytime highs between 5 and 7 C and overnight lows hovering around the freezing mark.
