Many of us were grumbling last week when, with the leftover Halloween treats still sitting on the kitchen counter, we saw snowflakes falling from the sky in early November.
If we were in a bad mood then, we could be in a downright nasty frame of mind by Monday night.
Environment Canada on Sunday afternoon issued an Ottawa-Gatineau winter weather travel advisory for Monday afternoon into early Tuesday morning. It said a total of up to 10 cm of snow was possible.
“Travel will be impacted due to accumulating snow, particularly during the Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning commutes,” the statement read.
The snowfall was due to a developing low pressure system that was to track south of the lower Great Lakes on Monday, Environment Canada said.
There was some hope, however. “There remains some uncertainty regarding the track of the low, and the expected snowfall amounts,” the statement read.
Maybe play it safe and stay indoors, nibbling on some tiny chocolate bars as you look out the window.
