Xavier Pinson to stay in SEC, transfers to LSU

Former Missouri point guard Xavier Pinson announced Monday his decision to transfer to LSU for his senior season.

Pinson made the announcement on his Instagram page. He also considered Kansas.

Pinson averaged a career high 13.6 points and 2.9 assists per game in 26 starts last season with the Tigers, second on the team to Dru Smith in both categories. He averaged 10.3 points in 88 games (49 starts) in three seasons at Missouri.

LSU junior point guard Javonte Smart announced last week he is making himself eligible for the 2021 NBA Draft.
