A&E patients evacuated after hospital fire

&E patients and staff were evacuated from a Liverpool hospital after a fire broke out at approximately 4:30 am.

Aintree University Eight fire engines rushed to the scene after flames spread to the roof of a building next to the hospital.

People were seen outside the hospital in their beds this morning as the case unfolded in dramatic fashion. No one was injured.

Firefighters were still fighting the fire at 10:00 am, and police rushed to the scene.

The emergency department is closed until further notice and people are being asked to stay away, but other departments are operating as normal.

The statement read: Seek alternative treatment for emergencies and emergencies.

"All outpatient appointments and scheduled surgeries will continue as normal. Thank you for your support and patience.

Clatterbridge Cancer Center will operate as normal today.

Aintree Hospital's A&E Unit is now closed.

A spokesperson for the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: Fire.

"Power has been cut off to the electrical unit, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have pulled a high-pressure hose reel. and a CO2 fire extinguisher.

"Patients have been evacuated from the first and second floors, and there are no reports of casualties."

“The fire brigade, wearing breathing apparatus and using carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, continues to control the fire in the rooftop factory room.
