Affordable property surges in South Ayrshire as 31-unit development kicks off

The Housing Association has laid the first bricks of 31 affordable new homes nearAyre.

Construction has begun on the West Scotland Housing Association (WSHA) development in Greenan as part of his £5 million project in partnership with builder McTaggart & Mickel Homes.

The high-quality coastal property is expected to be available to new tenants in early 2023.

This development comprises a mix of two and three bedroom family homes and is Phase 3 of his WSHA Affordable Housing Plan at Greenan Views.

Andrew Kubski, WSHA Director of Development and Asset Management, said: Community.

"It is great to build on our established partnership with McTaggart & Mikkel and grow the Greenan community."

Scottish Government Housing Officer Shona Robison added:

"These 31 new homes for social rental, backed by £3.157 billion of Scottish Government funding, are built to a high standard and ready to welcome tenants in early 2023.

“Since 2007, 111,750 affordable homes and 78,000 We are proud to have provided more than 100,000 social rental housing units.

"Towards our next ambitious goal of providing 110,000 affordable Progress has begun, 70% of which is for social rentals and 10% in remote, rural and island communities.”
