Alistair Johnston teases Celtic return for Victor Wanyama as new right-back leaks 'transfer news' on Instagram

New Celtic right-back Alistair Johnston got fans talking with a quickly-deleted Instagram comment that teased a Parkhead return for Victor Wanyama.

Johnston became the Hoops' second January signing to be announced following the arrival of Yuki Kobayashi and said after signing that Wanyama had played a central role in convincing him to join. The two were teammates at Montreal and Johnston jokingly nicknamed him 'Agent Victor' after he talked the club up and urged him to join Ange Postecoglou 's team.

It seems he's still at it as Johnston shared a snap from his holiday in Italy on Instagram, saying it looked like "paradise" - only for Wanyama to correct him insisting that paradise is where he'll be playing when he links up with his new teammates. And Johnston got fans' heads spinning with his reply as he appeared to suggest Wanyama will be joining him at Celtic Park next season.

The exchange between Wanyama and Johnston on Instagram

Wanyama wrote "Paradise is where you will be playing," and Johnston replied: "Where 'we' will be playing." Johnston's comment was quickly taken down but not before it caught fans' attention with many getting excited about a potential Wanyama return for a second spell after that bit of 'transfer news' was leaked.
