A pet rescue couple in Leicestershire were horrified to learn that their neighbors had reported 'animal abuse'.
Anonymous individuals claimed Fay Massey and Brian Helliwell left the "depressed" cat outside on "hard ground."
Both her 72-year-old couple received a letter earlier this month claiming neighbors were "monitoring" their driveway.
They suggested that pets should enjoy the "comforts of home" instead.
The writer even claims to have reported Faye and Brian to numerous animal rights groups, comparing the "abuse" to leaving a child in the driveway all day.
But the bewildered couple said that their six 'free-spirited' cats, like most cats across Britain, entered and exited the house at will via cat flaps. Say you can.
