Archie Battersbee's family friend denounces his 'barbaric and dignified' death, 'no one should go through it'

Archie Battersbee's death was described by friends of the family as "absolutely disrespectful" and "barbaric." A 12-year-old boy died Saturday after his life support machine ended.

Archie was found unconscious in April after suffering a devastating brain injury. His parents filed numerous legal challenges to continue his life-sustaining treatment.

This young man sadly died on his August 6th. A family friend, Ella Carter, spoke out against the manner in which Archie died, stating that he was "completely pale" before he died in hospital.

Ella said through tears. A family member or child suffocates.

"No family should go through what we've been through. It's barbaric."

His mother Holi Dance, a 12-year-old girl, was found unconscious in her home on April 7.

Ms Dance, speaking outside a London hospital, said her "beautiful little boy" died at 12:15 pm on Saturday.

Archie's parents have been engaged in a lengthy legal battle over discontinuation of treatment, and the recent High Court, Court of Appeals and European Human Rights I have sued the court to move Archie to hospice. he dies

Ms Dance, of Southend, Essex, announced her son's death to the media, saying "he fought to the end".

Through tears she said: "I am the proudest mother in the world...to be his mom."

In an interview with Sky News recorded on Friday, Ms. Dance said she was "pretty broken." "It's been a really bad day," he said. } Dance added:

She said the hospital had made it clear that it had no more options and that her life support would be turned off at 10 a.m. Saturday. Asked if there was anything else she could do, Ms. Dance replied, "No. I've done everything I promised her son. And I've done it."
