About 70 firefighters from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) were recruited this afternoon on Hereford Road, Feltham. The Sunday Times best-selling author posted to Twitter footage of the blaze as he landed at Britain's largest airport around 5pm. Robert Harris said: "We will land at Heathrow before 5pm today. Burnt fields. Fire!" said to be on fire.
One resident who lived nearby and did not want to be named said ash was "raining" in his immediate vicinity, shattering windows as the flames settled. He said he was.
She said: ``I heard six or seven fire trucks and police cars passing by, so I looked out the window to see what was going on, and there was black smoke rising.

The Metropolitan Police are present and are advising people to avoid the area for the time being.
