Michael Kennedy claims that if Darbell slams beechwood into Auchinlek Talbot, don't go crazy.
Goals from Daryl Megat, Alan Mackenzie and Andy Sterling gave the reigning champions their first victory of the West of Scotland League Premier Division season.
The game was a tight end-to-end battle, but a red card in the 40th minute when Gareth's Armstrong lunged at Mackenzie was extremely important in the flow of the match. It proved to be a pivotal moment.
'Vale quickly gained the advantage, scoring his two goals before half-time, gaining possession in the second half and setting his marker for the title early on.
"It's a great result for us, a great performance, but all in all it's just three points," said Vale manager Kennedy.
"To be fair, I thought the red card was a bit soft, but this is one of those things that lets the referee make the decision, and the referee does it.

Darbell took the lead two minutes later after Armstrong walked and Megat won the Stirling corner. Air reacts the fastest to loose his ball into the net. In injury time in the first half, the visitors made it 2–0 for him when Mackenzie touched a low cross past "bot keeper he's Andy Leishman". Ross his 65th minute when his Taylor was fouled by Sterling in the box, Auchinlek had a chance to cut the deficit, but Graeme Wilson's poor spot on his kicking attempt ended up costing him. It was saved by Vale keeper Christrousdale.
Two minutes later Sterling conceded the third with a drive from under the bar.
"Bot boss Tommy Sloane said," Gareth said. I got a red card for making a reckless challenge.” Then I failed to defend a few corners before halftime. Had a slight chance to go back, but it didn't convert...just one day and nothing to complain about."
