"I left home five years later and my doctor told me, 'Lisa, you are now as sick with another cancer as everyone else.'

``I was admitted to Beatson at the end of October last year. Unfortunately, I was not able to have surgery at that time, I had to undergo chemo and radiotherapy and my doctor was not convinced that chemo and radiotherapy at that stage would work.

``My athleticism is terrible and in March my son wanted a puppy.
