Rovers has reached out toEFL to raise concerns about the chant to Barnsley, who has initiated an internal investigation.
Rovers' statement reads:
"Football is a game for everyone, and it is our responsibility to help tackle gender discrimination and support women's participation in sport."

Her club statement reads:
"This is completely unacceptable and Barnsley condemns such conduct. The Club prides itself on providing an inclusive and family-friendly environment.

"Barnes Lee has contacted Bristol Rovers, Her Game Too and the EFL regarding the matter and will immediately launch an internal investigation.
"As a club, we have been unable to respond to anyone visiting Oakwell due to the actions of a fellow supporter." I don't want you to have a negative experience."
