BBC Breakfast's Naga Manchetti was not on today's show - a familiar figure was forced to make an appearance.
Naga, 47, usually presents BBC Breakfast every Thursday through Sunday,with Charlie Stayt.
But she was nowhere to be seen on the TODAY show, with her colleague Nina her Warhurst stepping in on her and sitting on the red couch beside Charlie .
Meanwhile,Carol Kirkwood responded to weather updates throughout the show, but Naga's absence didn't go unnoticed.
One viewer wrote on her Twitter:
Another addition: "@BBCBreakfast has a different vibe this morning than @NinaWarhurst, not @TVNaga01."
Naga has so far commented on her absence on social media. No, so fans will have to see if it's a temporary absence or if she's actually on paid leave.
Last week, Naga comforted weather host Simon Her King after her beloved cat passed away.
Simon posted on Twitter a photo of Ginger girlfriend Tom girlfriend Alfie, writing: Rest in peace.
He added: "We had to make that decision, and it was very difficult. We just had to remember that it was the best thing for him in the situation."
Naga replied: "I'm sorry, Simon xxx."
Naga can sympathize with Simon.She lost her beloved pet cat Missy last month.
She wrote:
"The sweetest cat I have ever loved. She left a huge hole in our hearts and homes."
Naga also has Xena and Bella. I have two cats named , and I post them frequently on Instagram.
