'Disgusting' Pontin rooms force families to abandon vacation at 'Minging' resort

"There were red stains on the pillows. The bed was a mess and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, if not years." A father of two with two children said: I don't know how people stay there, let alone vacation. You go on vacation for comfort.

"My son said to me, 'How much should I pay to stay there?' I said I needed 50 grand." Not only was his wife unimpressed, the state of the room upset his two children. Ross said: "My son said, 'This is terrible.'

'She asked if I could still go to the pool, and I said I could go swimming in the ocean instead.'

After deciding not to stay at the resort, Ross took his wife and kids to the front desk to complain..Ross claimed the front desk lady sent him to talk about a customer solution

The family left the resort and stayed in separate locations for two nights.

Ross then contacted Pontins for a refund and was told that they could not because Pontins "refused" to give him another room.

He then replied with all his health and safety concerns and said he had received a refund of £3 less than the full amount he had originally paid.

He asked Mr Pontins for comment.
