A person has been found dead in a popular park in Angus. Emergency services raced to Reid Park in Forfar shortly after 1pm today.
A heavy police presence was spotted in the area by locals. The area was cordoned off and the force helicopter was seen overhead.
Cops have confirmed that they have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the death. The Police Scotland probe remains ongoing.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called around 1.10pm on Tuesday, December 6, to a report of a death in the Reid Park area of Forfar.
"A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing."
