Boyzone star Keith Duffy reveals ‘full blown rows’ with Brian McFadden on tour

BOYZONE star Keith Duffy, 47, has opened up on his friendship with Westlife star Brian McFadden, 42.

The two Irish singers have just kicked off their much-anticipated Old School tour, which sees the duo performing Westlife and Boyzone classics, as well as hits from their debut album of original music.

Discussing his bond with Brian, Keith said the pair will have “full on arguments” and “row” while being in each other’s pockets.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, Keith explained: “We’ll have a proper argument and a row – we’d never be aggressive with each other, we’re not children – but we’ll certainly let it be known that we’re unhappy and we’re having a little fall out.

“We don’t brush things under the carpet or pretend things didn’t happen.”

Despite sometimes not seeing eye to eye, Keith continued to say that the pair will “make up ten minutes later.”

He added: “People will see us after a row having a pint in the pub next door, and they’ll go ‘how are those still talking?’”

Both Keith and Brian forged hugely successful careers as part of the ‘90s and ‘00s boybands they were in.

Keith, who opened up on surprises in the tour, said he and Brian are as close as brothers as a result.

“We’re very close,” he explained, adding: “I have two brothers but my relationship with Brian is closer than that.

“There has to be an air of understanding and we can’t always get on well and you’re not going to be on good form every day. You’re going to do things that upset each other.

“We tour together, we laugh together, we go out together but if something isn’t quite right we’ll have a row.”

Discussing the tour, Keith teased what fans can expect as he said there will be medleys and dancing for people to enjoy.

“I love the songs in the new album and we’ve tried to write them with the energy of power ballads and the energy of the 80s,” Keith explained, adding there will be “fist pumping music” for audiences to get groovy to.

He added: “We’re very aware that a lot of our fans are coming along to enjoy the big Westlife and Boyzone boomers and so we’re not going to disappoint them. We’ll have all the big hits on the set list.
