A British woman has died after jumping from the eighth floor of a hotel in Palma, Majorca.
A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the alarm went off around 8:00 am this morning.
The hotel she fell into was named the four-star Hotel Melia Her Palma Her Marina.
She is believed to have died after jumping from her eighth-floor room where she was alone at the time.
We are investigating a state police case. No one in the military was available for comment at lunchtime today.
Its homicide unit was said to have been tasked with investigating the death of an unnamed British woman.
It was not immediately clear whether the dead woman lived in Mallorca or was vacationing there.
In May, a 34-year-old British tourist died after jumping from the seventh floor of her four-star Melia South Beach Hotel at her resort, Magaluf's party.

His widow filmed him jumping over 70 feet to his death on an islet opposite the Mallorcan resort of Santa his Ponsa near Magaluf.
